A Dream of Glowing People

What if we all glowed? No, not the Mormon glow. That's real stuff (I think.) I'm talking about the fake stuff. The kind of stuff that I wish was real, but sadly it isn't.
I had a dream last night, a very odd dream. I had a dream where thousands of people gathered in a government building of some sort. It was a very beautiful building with large columns surrounding the entire exterior. You may think that this building sounds normal based on this much of my description. But it wasn't normal. It was a translucent building. You could see the outlines of the people, holding flashlights. They were protesting against... something... odd...The next thing I knew, they had all swallowed their flashlights. If that's not odd enough, they all started floating.
I don't know why I just told you that. It's fine.
I secretly have a wish to glow. It's not a secret anymore. It's fine. Don't worry, I won't go and swallow a flashlight! That would be odd. And painful. I wish I would glow every time I became extremely happy. Oh what a beautiful image! A glowing girl with permagrin. (Sad news! I was recently informed that permagrin isn't a real word! I think I'm going to cry. No matter, it is a real word in my dictionary. It's fine.)

Don't swallow your flashlight.

Day Seventeen: I Can't Pick Just One

Okay. I can't just pick one favorite memory. It's just too hard. If I were to pick one, I would think about it for hours on end. Then, I would realize that it isn't my absolute favorite memory and I would go and change it. This cycle would just keep going and never end so... how about I just describe what makes a perfect favorite memory? Yep, that will have to do.

This is a matter of opinion so you don't need to agree with me. It's fine.

[For me] Life's best memories are fairly simple. They don't always have to cost a fortune. Now I'm not saying that expensive trips are no fun. If I said that, I would be lying. But the simplicity of the moment makes everything spectacular. Simple things like: a guy twirling you while you slow dance, laying on the creek trail with your gal friends, soaking in the sun; realizing your strength/ability and run ten miles, pinning flowers on your date as you get ready to go to a formal dance, walking along the beach, shoeless, picking up any sand dollars that appear to still be whole; studying and learning about your passions in life (not to be confused with the stuff that teachers shovel down your throat); dancing and/or singing to your favorite music (while your alone in your room), talking and/or thinking to yourself, and the list goes on.

The simple things allow you to remember that you are breathing and that you are human. You are enjoying life.

Live life to the fullest.

Day Fifteen: Dreams

I watched the movie A Walk To Remember today. I decided to do the same thing Jamie did in the movie- make a list of life ambitions. Ain't it ironic that that is basically what today's post is about?

My dream is to find my prince. Grab a white dress and suit, and both of us will end the day wearing simply beautiful rings. We will be married in the beautiful castle in Salt Lake and be together forever- even after death.

I dream of one day becoming a professional photographer. Taking pictures of other peoples' beautiful wedding days. And let's not forget, I will take pictures of my beautiful kids. They will have to learn to be photogenic because I am their mother, and I take billions of pictures.

Some simple dreams...
Like Jamie, I would like to be in two places at once.
I would like to spend this next summer, fearless, carless, and shoeless.
I would like to spend everyday of my life laughing with my friends.

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Day Nine: I Believe

For your enjoyment,  here is a list of thing I believe in (in no particular order):
1) I believe God is there. He loves us and wants us to be happy.
2)I believe Everyone is beautiful in their own way- including myself.
3)I believe A photograph speaks a thousand-plus words.
4)I believe In wishing wishes, dreaming dreams.
5)I believe People shouldn't be afraid to be themselves.
6)I believe Telling yourself that your going to be happy everyday makes you happy- everyday.
7) I believe Laughter is the best sound.
8)I believe Music is the greatest food for the soul- and chocolate.
9)I believe Talking/thinking with yourself is very therapeutic.
10)I believe in writing in your journal. Telling it your stories and secrets- they won't tell a soul unless you let them.
11)I believe Every girl deserves a romance- their "Happily Ever After"- including moi.
12)I believe Breathing in and seeing nature is therapeutic.
13)I believe in good writing, beautiful pieces of art.
14)I believe smiling and laughing is healthy.
15)I believe in running. It helps me clear my mind.
16)I believe no one should be afraid to cry when they need to.

There is to many too list and too many too many to remember. That's okay. I think this will do.

Believe in yourself.

Day Two: First Love

I am different from everybody else. (Duh.)
Okay, let me be more specific. I was never one of those girls that went around crushin' on every boy she met. You see, I don't ever remember actually loving a boy. Now that I am in high school, I have changed. I am still not the go-around-and-crush-on-every-boy-you-meet type of girl, but love had a different meaning for me. I have friends. Guy friends. If he is always kind to me, I may end up liking him more than I originally planned. That's how it goes.  I don't just like the guy for looks. I like him for the way he treats me and those around him.
These last few days, weeks, I have thought about guys I've liked. At the time, I convinced myself that I didn't really like anyone at the moment. But that's when I realized that's a lie. I have sort of fallin' in love with this kid I never thought I would ever fall in love with. He's slightly dirty (only slightly). But whenever he talks to me, he talks to me like a friend. He may say some rude/crude things to other people, but never to me. It's nice.
But let's not talk about that... I have already said enough... MORE than enough...
For day two, I wanted to share a story from when I was young. The first time someone loved me. First Grade. At first, we were just friends. We would work on every project together, eat lunch together, talk together at recess. (Ha- funny story- we would eat lunch together, then go to the bathroom to wash our hands. Since we were different genders we had to separate to our bathrooms to wash our hands. Whoever would finish first would wait in between the bathrooms, waiting, waiting for the other one to finish.) You could say that we were best friends.
Then, before I knew it, people were snickering and teasing. That's when I finally realized that maybe we weren't just friends- to him at least. That's when I considered that maybe he did like me...
People continued to tease and our friendship was torn apart. I don't like him like that anymore, but I admit, it would be nice if we were still friends.

So I kinda sorta think I might like you a tiny speck of a bit more than I originally planned, said the Maddiey who is quoting MissLindy. (sorry Brynn, I just had to steal that way of quoting from ya...it's slightly different so it should be ok...)

he and she (cont.)

she thinks that he might like she... she's pretty much positive he likes she!

that should have made she happy, and it sorta did
but...
a texan cowboy came along and made she melt.

she still likes he
but now, she also loves the texan cowboy

be

I wanna be,
wanna feel free.
walk on the beach
no shoes, no cares
feel the wind blowing through my hair
i'll let the waves hit my feet
feel the warmth on my face,
feel the heat
i don't care if people stop and stare
i want to just take in that salty air
I wanna be,
just wanna feel free.

Je suis riche! Très Riches!

I think I have seen more

rain

than

snow
this winter.

Ugh.

I can't believe it! Christmas is in 2 days!
Where did December go?
Oh my!
Has it really been almost a week of Christmas Break?
Where did time go?

I have spent more time in my pajamas than in real people clothes.
I feel lazy.
But yet at the same time I don't. (Like lazy but not :) I have babysat so many times this week... it's AMAZING!
I actually have money in my wallet!

HA je suis riche! Très Riches! (mmBWAAHH I have approx. $200!! Yay ME!!)

Tomorrow I am going to participate in two Christmas Celebrations- goodie goodie!
Hopefully I will feel more Christmas spirit after that... It doesn't feel like Christmas is supposed to be here yet. Especially with all of this rain...

I was sad to see our Christmas Jar Tradition slowly die. That was one thing I truly looked forward to every Christmas. I have decided to have my own Christmas Jar next year. I am going to do it all by myself and hopefully it will be enough... I will try to keep this tradition alive with myself! (wish me luck!)

Here is some lyrics to help ya be ready for CHRISTMAS!!!

"When it snows, ain't it thrillin'
though your nose gets a chillin.

A beautiful sight
we're happy tonight
Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland!"

"Oh the weather outside is frightful
but the fire is so delightful.
And since we have no place to go
*LET IT SNOW*  *LET IT SNOW*  *LET IT SNOW*"

Seriously.
Just let it snow.

Lahve

Yeah.
I am in love.
Lahve, that is.
And it feels good.

I was reading in one of my favorite Christmas books, The Gift, when I came across something that describes what I call, the best kind of lahve! (Since it is written in the perspective of a man and I am a woman, I am going to change words to make it so the quote fits me, a woman.)

"[He is handsome]- not in a magazine cover way, but to my way of thinking, even better. [He is] comfortable."

The best kind of lahve makes one
comfortable.

Comfortable as in the way two puzzle pieces come together, fitting perfectly. There is no question whether or not they actually fit- colors and shape- it all comes together comfortably.

Keep Calm and Grow a Mustache

I need to take a chill pill.
I haven't been myself the past few days.
Sorry
Sorry to those who have suffered from me because I haven't been myself.
My bad.

I kinda want to be a journalist. And when I say kinda, I mean really bad. I want to have a way with people through writing. I to connect with my readers and have them understand. I want to be understood for once!

Can you just imagine?

6:00AM- Wake up- splash some water on your face.

6:10AM- Sit for a while and think about anything you feel like thinking about.

6:15AM- Pull on your bathrobe, slip on some slippers, and go outside to grab the newspaper

6:17AM- Start on your hair, set your clothes out on your bed.

7:00AM- Sit down with the newspaper and eat your breakfast. Just a typical morning.

You read the newspaper like this: Since there is no rush to be anywhere, you start reading the last section and move your way up to A1- front page. As you finally reach the front page you feel your heart beating faster.

You stare and stare and stare at that front page.Your name is attached to the main headline- on the front page. Could that be true? Is this just a dream?

You pinch yourself and realize you haven't been dreaming- you are doing something better. After years and years of hard work to get where you are now,
you are finally living your dream.

KEEP CALM
and
Grow
a
MUSTACHE

Lahve always,

Maddiey

Be OK

I just want to Be Ok
Be Ok
Be Ok
I just want to Be Ok today.

Christmas is just around the corner. YES! Our house now smells of goodness. More and more lights are being strung. Cozy music is being played and sung. Wow did you notice? I just made a rhyme.

Our house now smells of goodness.
More and more lights are being strung.
Cozy music is being played and sung.

Except I think that if it were to be made into a poem or song it should look like this:

More and more lights are being strung.
The house now smells of Christmas goodness.
Cozy music is being played and sung.

Bleh. I wish I could write.
I wish I could write amazing words that bring out the emotions I feel. I wish I could truly portray myself with... I don't know how to finish the sentence... example right here... hopefully it makes sense.

I also wish I made more sense. Why do I have to be so confusing? The thing that's strange is that it makes perfect sense to me. But everything makes sense to me.

That makes sense,
because it doesn't make sense,
because you don't make sense,
which makes sense.

Wow. So true.

I said something today that made me think.

I said something along the lines of "You never know what the future brings." And then I just decided to add some more of my nonsense goodness.

"You never know what the future may bring. But what you decide today can make a difference in how your future will turn out."

Its just like a gift. You won't know what's in the gift until you open it. Hmm... I forgot how I was planning on finishing this bizarre thought... well.... something... bleh hopefully you get me.

That's what's going to be great about marriage. Your hub will understand you no matter how ridiculous or oustrobogulous it may be. He always takes your side and trusts that you know best. Wow, I am one step closer to marriage. I am old.

I am sorry for rambling...
Okay... I will spare you.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
Have yourself a Merry little Christmas.

Best wishes to all,

Maddiey

(Why end like a letter, signing my name? Meh, it makes me feel better so why not? Join the club if you would like. Everyone is welcome...)

Letter to my Husband

Husband, I wish I knew you. I would make sure we were the best of friends. We would know everything about each other and we wouldn't be afraid to tell each other anything. You would be my BEST friend- my BFF. Then, when we became of age to get married, we wouldn't even hesitate. We would be ready to get married and we would continue to be best friends way beyond the end of forever.

And guess what, Husband? I can already tell you that I LOVE YOU & I always will love you. I will love you way past the end of forever.

Now all I have to do is meet you.
