Instead of tugs....

This is my favorite movie of all times. I watched it last night-- I cried with them and I laughed with them. Oh it is so amazing! You have to see this movie!
The first time I watched this, I watched it outside on the trail with all of my gorgeous gal friends (oh and Andrew was there to...) We started it a little late and I had to be home before it was over. I got right to the part where they were just about to meet each other at the Empire State Building. Oh I got right to the WORSE place to stop!! I went home ready to cry-- I had to see the happy ending. So once I got home, I attempted to finish the movie but I was so exhausted that I didn't keep my eyes open long enough to watch at least five minutes of it. I woke up when the credits had just started. Disappointment.
I finally finished it yesterday! Happy day! Oh it is DEFINITELY my favorite movie EVER!! The characters are gorgeous and play the part insanely well!! The ending was so touching and I cried tears of joy!! I cried with them! It is one of my favorite happy-ever-after endings!! So good!! Watch it!! Watch it again and again and again!! Oh it is so good!!

Today for family home evening, we all picked out our pumpkins. We haven't carved them yet, and we won't for a while, but now we have decorations to add to our porch. I never realized how much pumpkin is used in the season fall.
1) Decoration- pumpkins are carved or even just stuck out plainly for both Halloween and Thanksgiving.

2) Pumpkins are used for cooking. This is where the majority use of pumpkins is found. People make chocolate chip PUMPKIN cookies, PUMPKIN pie, PUMPKIN bread pudding, PUMPKIN bread, PUMPKIN brownies, etc.

Do you see what I mean? Pumpkins are a major part of fall, and for reasons that boggle my mind, we sometimes have a shortage of pumpkins. Not because we use them all the time but because of a bad crop. It just seems so strange to have a shortage of something, especially pumpkins. You always see masses of pumpkins at grocery stores and at little stands alongside the road. How could that be a shortage?

Every time I think of a pumpkin I think of one of my absolute favorite movies of all time (that you may find me quoting quite often.) It is You've Got Mail. Oh how I love that movie. I love the part (and this has to relate with pumpkins) where she buys a pumpkin for her store. But the thing that makes me happy is that she only buys one, small, pumpkin and not several pumpkins of several sizes. It is just simply beautiful.

Reminder: DO NOT FORGET TO BUY YOUR PUMPKINS. It is an amazing part of fall that you can't miss out on!

Driving Range

Guess what? Yes. Yes, indeed. Yes, I finished range and....
I PASSED!!!
Oh I am so happy!!
At first I was a little nervous because I didn't know how the teacher graded. Then on top of that, my first drill was figure eight. I have always been pretty lucky and have not hit a cone, but I was still nervous!!
My friends weren't in my car, but I made new friends. As the drills went by, I soon got over my nervousness :)
Then, after we parked our cars, we went out and picked up all the cones. Then.... that is when we found out if we passed or not... Most people pass. There is just a few in a blue moon that are just so horrible that they don't. I am just so glad I don't have to repeat range again. It is more humiliating than boring/hard. I actually enjoyed most of it... I am just now glad it's over!!!
TIME TO PARTY!!

Congrats!! You have just won an award!!

You know what I wish? I wish I could give every one who makes my day an award. The award would be called:
The You-Have-Made-My-Day Award
Wouldn't you guys like to receive such an award? I know I would. Today was kinda a downer day. Yuck, school and rainy weather (that should be spent inside reading a book, watching a movie, or outside dancing in the rain- but NO, we had to go to school!!). They are definitely not a good combo! So I want to tell you an award I would have given away today (if I actually gave out awards).
So I came from the boring class of US History out in the trailers. It was raining. Just a sprinkle. I passed a man in the hallway who knew me, but has never talked to me before. As we passed each other, he said Hi. Shocked and not so sure of who said it, I turned back and realized it was him. I turned back around and walked to Physics with a smile on my face. He had NO idea I was having a bad day and he had NO idea how much of an impact that would be on me. See, if I gave out awards, well... I don't know what would happen because of it. I guess I will just have to stick to giving mental awards. Don't worry, if you are a recipient of one of these awards, I will let you know.

Letter to my Husband

Husband, I wish I knew you. I would make sure we were the best of friends. We would know everything about each other and we wouldn't be afraid to tell each other anything. You would be my BEST friend- my BFF. Then, when we became of age to get married, we wouldn't even hesitate. We would be ready to get married and we would continue to be best friends way beyond the end of forever.

And guess what, Husband? I can already tell you that I LOVE YOU & I always will love you. I will love you way past the end of forever.

Now all I have to do is meet you.

Fall is finally on its' way. Leaves are finally changing. Any season can officially start once my mom puts up the first decoration. Today is officially fall. Our house is now decorated in red, orange, yellow, fall colors. It brought back many memories from past years. It reminded me of carmel apples, soup in bread bowls-that look like pumpkins- after a cold night of trick-or-treating.
Ah, even the wonderful memories of costumes that make me laugh came back to mind. I think that one of the most memorable costumes I ever wore was the bunch-of-grapes costume. I wore a purple shirt and pinned on several balloons. I was covered in so many balloons that when I went to school, I had to kneel at the back table because I couldn't sit in a desk. If I did I would have popped a few balloons, resulting in a ruined costume. From that point on, I decided to make my costumes something more on the lines of simple and comfortable.
I am ready for fall. I am excited to see the leaves on the trees along the creek trail turn colors, lighting up the path vibrantly. I can already find myself sitting there on the bench looking at the colors, enjoying the crisp fall air, just thinking. Thinking of nothing important to anyone but myself. Thinking of how beautiful this world God made is. I thank Him for the little beauties that make life wonderful.
